Trevor Edwards 1950-2021

Trevor Edwards was born in Bromley. He was a Cambridge Graduate and worked as a Merchant Banker in London for over 20 years. He was the founder and conductor of Sevenoaks & Tonbridge Concert band for 25 years of which he was extremely proud, whilst living at Lullingstone Castle in Kent. He retired to Italy in 2007 and enjoyed his new home, friends and life in Montebello, Abruzzo, until September 2018, when he fell very ill with heart failure and had a pacemaker fitted. He also suffered from Parkinsons and had to return for care in Kent in early April 2019.

Trevor played the piano, organ, cello and timpani. He was passionate about the Performing Arts during his whole life and was happiest going to operas, ballets, theatre productions [especially the RSC] in the UK and abroad, along with friends and family and enjoying a good glass of wine. The concert band he founded came to play for him a few times at the care home.

Trevor died peacefully on 12th January 2021 after contracting Covid-19. He is sadly missed by his sister Miranda, family and friends. He will be remembered for his strength of character, his positivity, his great passion for music and the twinkle in his eye! He was extremely proud of attending Fitzwilliam College Cambridge where he had many fond memories.
