Frank Edmonds 1946-2024
Frank Edmonds (Economics) matriculated in 1965 and graduated in 1968. He remained in Cambridge as a postgraduate student for an additional year. Throughout his time at Fitzwilliam, he was a keen member of the Billygoats and was in the crew which became Head of the River in 1969, after their triumphs in the Lent and May bumps. He also rowed for the college at Henley Regatta.
He became a very successful international businessman and continued to row with Molesey Boat Club. He also developed a keen interest in hill walking, both in the UK and Europe. Sadly, in 2008, he became seriously ill and could no longer participate in the two activities he loved best. As well as a wife, he leaves behind two children, four stepchildren and five grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
